- Fine Cast Stone Creations -

Cast stone has been used by artisans for centuries for the interiors and exteriors of buildings and churches. Most stone on buildings constructed around the turn of the century appears to be limestone, but is actually cast stone.

Cast stone fireplaces are almost identical to those made from cut limestone, but the quality and the detailing is higher and more defined because of our ability. We make our fireplaces from a mixture of finely graded aggregates, silica grade sand and a bonding agent. Additionally, we use a hardening agent for cleaner edges. The combined mixture is then hammered into molds, which results in a finished fireplace with intricate and varied designs. No finish is required, but our product is easily stainable with concrete stain to reach desired colors and shades. This makes it more flexible than cut limestone. Cast stone is a noncombustible product and can be used directly next to firebox openings, eliminating the need and cost for other interior surrounds that wood and plaster mantels and fireplaces require.
